The Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) has announced its 2025 exhibition schedule, featuring a variety of exhibitions that highlight significant works from the AMFA Foundation Collection. The schedule includes two AMFA-curated exhibitions, beginning with "Rivera’s Paris," which opens on February 7, 2025. This exhibition will feature Diego Rivera's "Dos Mujeres" as its centerpiece and explore the artist's formative years in Europe.
Following this, "Architects of Being: Louise Nevelson and Esphyr Slobodkina" will open on October 3, 2025. This exhibition will showcase Louise Nevelson's work "Tide Garden IV" from the AMFA Foundation Collection.
In addition to these curated exhibitions, AMFA will present "The Long View: From Conservation to Sustainability: Works from the Bank of America Collection," opening on June 13, 2025. This environmental exhibition traces the history and impact of the environmental movement through art.
Dr. Victoria Ramirez, Executive Director at AMFA, stated that “2025 brings a thoughtful range of exhibitions that will inspire guests and ensure that each visit to the Museum brings new ideas and fresh perspectives.” She added that they are proud to start and end the year with major exhibitions featuring monumental works from their collection.
The museum's schedule also includes solo exhibitions by artists such as Kwame Brathwaite and an international art film by Hans Op de Beeck in the New Media Gallery.
