After a close vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the FY25 Concurrent Budget Resolution with a 216-214 tally. The resolution, amended by the U.S. Senate, has been met with approval from Rep. French Hill, who released a statement addressing its significance.
Rep. Hill expressed his view that the budget resolution is a pivotal step towards reversing the policies enacted under the current administration. He stated, "The budget resolution passed by the House yesterday marks a turning point after years of failed policies by the Biden-Harris Administration."
Hill emphasized the resolution's alignment with Republican fiscal goals, noting that it aims to restore responsible economic practices and maintain President Trump’s tax cuts. These cuts, according to Hill, are advantageous for working families, small businesses, and the middle class.
Furthermore, Rep. Hill praised House Budget Committee Chairman Jodey Arrington and his Republican peers, voicing his enthusiasm to collaborate in realizing what he referred to as "President Trump’s economic vision." Hill described this vision as one focused on "lower inflation, higher wages, more jobs, and renewed prosperity for all Americans."
Hill’s statement reflects the Republican endeavor to establish long-term fiscal reforms and promote economic growth, as envisioned under Trump’s administration.
