"Over the weekend, a constituent informed me that the American flag at the Veterans Treatment Center on S. Main Street in Little Rock was in poor condition." He mentioned that his staff had replaced the flag to ensure it flew proudly for veterans.

Gambaryan is noted for being an American citizen who was wrongfully detained in Nigeria for nine months.
