Rep. French Hill (AR-02) has announced his support for the House's passage of H.R. 9747, known as the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025. This legislation aims to maintain government funding at current levels until December 20, 2024.

In a statement following the vote, Rep. Hill emphasized the importance of avoiding a government shutdown. "A government shutdown helps no one and is more costly," he said. "I supported today's continuing resolution because we must keep the government open to finish our work in passing the remaining appropriations bills, protect our national security, and ensure there are no harmful disruptions to crucial programs Americans rely on."

Rep. Hill also highlighted the need for reforms in the appropriations process. "As I have said repeatedly, our appropriations process is broken and must be fixed," he noted. "We need serious reforms to ensure our long-term fiscal stability and resilience."
