City of Maumelle issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
ATTN: Now through Oct. 8, your Maumelle firefighters will be visiting each neighborhood to inspect and flow fire hydrants.
These inspection tests are to check fire hydrants for proper operation, leaks, and other maintenance concerns to ensure the fire hydrants are usable in the event of a fire or other emergency.
During testing, the increased water flow could result in discolored water at your tap. It is safe but can stain clothing, so do not wash clothing in the discolored water. Central Arkansas Water advises you to check your washing machines before washing clothes during the set time frame.

Remaining hydrant testing dates are:
Zone 1 (Green): Sep. 22 / Oct. 1, 4 & 7
Zone 2( Red): Sep. 23 & 29 / Oct. 5 & 8
Zone 3( Blue): Sep. 21, 24, 27 & 30 / Oct 6
