U.S. Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton introduced Warren Stephens, a nominee for the position of U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, at a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing. Stephens, a resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, has led the financial firm Stephens Inc. since 1986. He is recognized for his civic service and philanthropy throughout central Arkansas.

During the hearing, Boozman and Cotton emphasized Stephens' leadership skills and reputation, expressing their support for his nomination. Boozman stated, "I have had the privilege of knowing Warren for many years and am confident he will bring his many talents, skills and relationships to bear as our ambassador to the United Kingdom, and I’m thankful to President Trump for choosing him to fill this very crucial diplomatic role." Cotton added, "Warren has spent a lifetime building and fostering strong relationships with his family, his clients, and his community. I think he is exactly the person America needs to lead our strong, special relationship with the United Kingdom as our next Ambassador of the United States to the Court of St. James's."

The Foreign Relations Committee will address Stephens' nomination in due course. If approved, the nomination will then proceed to the full Senate for further consideration.
