French Hill addresses key national issues including treasury appointment and safety legislation

French Hill, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Arkansas' 2nd district since 2015, recently shared his thoughts on various significant national events through social media posts.

On January 27, 2025, Hill congratulated Scott Bessent on his confirmation as the Secretary of the Treasury. He stated that the Financial Committee is prepared to collaborate with him: "Congratulations to Scott Bessent on your confirmation as the Nation’s Secretary of the Treasury. The @FinancialCmte is ready to work with you."

On January 29, 2025, Hill commented on President Trump's signing of the Laken Riley Act into law. He highlighted this legislative action as a fulfillment of a promise to enhance safety in America and expressed continued commitment to securing communities: "By signing the Laken Riley Act into law, President Trump is delivering on his promise to Make America Safe Again. No family should have to endure the suffering that Laken Riley's family has, and @HouseGOP and @POTUS will continue our work to secure our communities."

On January 30, 2025, following a mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport, Hill extended his prayers and condolences to those affected by the incident and expressed solidarity with his colleagues from Kansas: "Martha and I are praying for all those affected by the mid-air collision near Reagan National Airport tonight. I join my colleagues from Kansas in mourning this horrible tragedy."
