On January 25, 2025, Hill expressed relief over the safe return of four individuals held captive by Hamas. He stated, "I am so glad to see that Daniella, Liri, Naama, and Karina are safe and have been reunited with their families after 477 days in Hamas captivity. We cannot rest until every last hostage is released."
Two days later, on January 27, 2025, Hill commemorated the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. He remarked on the significance of this historical event and reiterated his stance against antisemitism: "80 years ago, the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp was liberated. Today, we remember the millions who were murdered and reaffirm our commitment to combating antisemitism in all its forms. We must never forget."
