Cantrell Road traffic will move onto the new Rodney Parham overpass beginning Friday night, September 30. Westbound lanes will begin the shift at 8 p.m.; eastbound lanes will begin at 10 p.m. The shift is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Monday morning, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect delays this weekend; once traffic is switched, eastbound through traffic will not have to stop after passing the Woodland Heights intersection until they cross Interstate 430.
Motorists heading east on Cantrell should stay in the left two lanes to travel across the new overpass. To access Interstate 430 (both northbound and southbound), through traffic will follow signs that will guide drivers over the new bridge in the right two lanes.
Traffic from Rodney Parham will stay below the new overpass.
The contractor will also close Southridge Drive at Cantrell Road from 8 p.m. Friday night to 6 a.m. Monday morning to complete work in the area.
