City of Maumelle issued the following announcement on June 8.
Congratulations to the 2022 Peyton Award recipient Avery Champion, and Peyton-Scott Scholarship recipient Stephan Bolan. Students are chosen for these awards by their achievements, participation, school grades and essay writing. This year the Maumelle Youth Council completed 15 projects throughout the city led by these accomplished youth. Stephan received a $1500 scholarship and will attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and join the Air Force ROTC. Avery will attend Brigham Young University, where she will study Biology with hopes of becoming a pediatrician.
