U.S. Senator John Boozman expressed support following the Senate's confirmation of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel. The confirmation, which was met with approval by Boozman, marks a significant step in strengthening the U.S.-Israel partnership.
“I'm pleased the Senate has confirmed a dear friend and gifted leader, former Governor Mike Huckabee, to be our next ambassador to such a critical ally and partner," Boozman said. "He has been a lifelong advocate and supporter of Israel who is uniquely suited for this role. As our ambassador, he will work alongside Pres. Trump and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel to advance our shared values and security interests." Boozman also extended his congratulations to Huckabee and his family, wishing them well as Huckabee begins his new position.
Boozman played an active role in Huckabee’s nomination process, introducing him at his Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing last month. Boozman has been a supporter of Huckabee's appointment since it was announced by President Trump.
