FOIA Request to Arkansas State Board of Education Regarding Instructional Mandates for State K-12 Schools on December 10, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Pulaski Times have sent a request under the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act § 25-19-101 et seq. to the Arkansas State Board of Education. The request is for a list of all instructional mandates for state K-12 schools, including all required courses and/or general instruction.
Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities, which include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
We await the response from the Arkansas State Board of Education and will keep our readers updated with any developments.
