CITY OF MAUMELLE: Trash collection schedule

Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that generates the most trash, so it’s a great time to thank the crews that collect Maumelle’s trash day in and day out.

To allow those employees time off for the holiday, Maumelle adjusts its collection schedule. So here’s a reminder, if you wonder why your trash can is still full on the day it’s normally emptied: If your scheduled day is Friday, we’ll come empty your can on Monday. If Monday is your day, we’ll take care of you Tuesday. We will run the Tuesday route on Wednesday, and Wednesday’s route on Thursday. Friday, December 2, our schedule will return to normal. Thank you.

(This painting once hung at the Maumelle Fire Department’s original headquarters at Millwood and Maumelle Boulevard. We photographed a replica of a Maumelle trash receptacle in front of the painting for this public service announcement.)
