Arkansas Trucking Association, Inc. Governmental Affairs issued the following announcement on Feb. 26.
The presidents of American Trucking Associations and Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) sent a letter to Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg asking for his support of the Truck Parking Safety Improvement bill, which would provide much-needed parking for trucks. In part, the letter says, “The economic impacts of the inefficient use of a driver’s time are profound and the practical impact of productivity losses create issues throughout our supply chains.” FreightWaves
