Arkansas Department of Transportation - State Highway Commission issued the following announcement on Feb. 4.

Construction to widen Highway 270 (Albert Pike Road) to five lanes in Garland County requires crews to close Haven Hill Lane for several days beginning in February.

Weather permitting, crews will temporarily close access to Haven Hill Lane at its connection with Highway 270 (Albert Pike Road). The road closure is anticipated to begin Monday, Feb. 7 and continue through Thursday, Feb. 10. This will enable crews to install a box culvert as they continue to widen Highway 270.

Traffic will be controlled with message boards, signage, and construction barrels. Detour routes for Haven Hill Lane and its connecting neighborhood will be signed to use Disney Street. See travel impact map 22-010-A for additional details.

The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zone and watch for slower traffic speeds.

This project (Job CA0607) is part of ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 1.5 miles of Highway 270 to five lanes and bike lanes, extending generally from Fleetwood Drive to Highway 227 in Garland County. This project also includes improvements to the interchange with Hwy. 227. More information on this $22.6 million project is available at ConnectingArkansasProgram.com.
