Arkansas Civil Air Patrol issued the following announcement Nov. 15.

Leadership was the subject Nov. 2 when the Ramstein Cadet Squadron’s Stuttgart Flight hosted U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Rose Keravuori, who also recognized several cadet promotions after speaking.

Keravuori serves as deputy director of intelligence for U.S. Africa Command, headquartered at Kelley Barracks

in Stuttgart, Germany. During her visit to the cadets at Stuttgart High School, located at Panzer Barracks in Stuttgart, she discussed her young listeners’ need to challenge themselves by constantly looking for ways to get out of their comfort zone, to take charge of their own education and personal development, and to try to be "happy leaders."

Among the cadets Keravuori saw promoted were siblings Genevieve McDonald, now a cadet senior airman, and Aidan McDonald, a new cadet second lieutenant after completing the requirements for the cadet program's Brig. Gen. Billy Mitchell Award – only the second Stuttgart Flight cadet to do so.
