Arkansas Child Abuse/Rape/Domestic Violence Commission issued the following announcement on July 15.
It’s the first phase one cancer clinical trial to take place at UAMS. The doctor leading this research has named the trial the "Phoenix Trial" — an aspirational reference to the mythical bird that rises from the ashes.
With the support of a five-year, $3.5 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant, Dr. Hui-Ming Chang is leading the research at the newly opened UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Phase 1 Cancer Clinical Trial Unit.
