A Veterans History Project (VHP) Interview Day was conducted on April 30 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, in collaboration with the Chaffee Barbershop Museum. This event is part of the celebration marking the 25th anniversary of the Library of Congress’s ongoing initiative. The event provided a platform for former servicemembers to share their military experiences for historical preservation.

The interviews collected included accounts from six local veterans, among them World War II veteran Jock Davis. These veterans detailed their military service and discussed the impact these experiences have had on their lives.

Senator Boozman expressed pride in his and his team’s participation in the VHP over the years. His team has been involved in training more than 1,200 Arkansans to participate in the project and has conducted over 100 interviews that have been contributed to this historic collection.

The event’s activities gained media attention, with coverage from 5News and photo documentation from the River Valley Democrat-Gazette. Additionally, a video featuring WWII veteran Jock Davis provides further insights into the event.
