Senator John Boozman, senior U.S. Senator for Arkansas and chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry, highlighted key developments in defense, tax policy, and community service through a series of social media posts this week.
On January 13, 2026, Boozman underscored the importance of Camden’s role in supporting the nation’s military capabilities. He wrote, “Camden continues to play an invaluable role in ensuring America’s arsenal is abundant and lethal. This is more good news that gives our defense industries certainty and confidence in its Natural State investments.”
Later that day, Boozman commented on tax policy measures intended to support small businesses and families in Arkansas. In a tweet dated January 13, 2026, he stated, “The Working Families Tax Cuts offer lasting certainty for small businesses and encourage investment through permanent deductions for 199A + expensing + interest + R&D as well as the Opportunity Zone program. @SenateGOP is proud to support hardworking Arkansans & their families.”
The following day, Boozman recognized local volunteerism at a commemorative event. On January 14, 2026, he posted: “Proud to celebrate the 500 volunteers, families & communities who took part in Fayetteville’s @WreathsAcross America event. The 10,000 wreaths placed honor the service and sacrifice of our fallen heroes and symbolize the deep gratitude of all Arkansans.”
Boozman represents Arkansas with district offices across several communities including Little Rock, Fort Smith, Lowell, Mountain Home, Jonesboro, Stuttgart and El Dorado (official website). His career includes work on agriculture policy as well as initiatives expanding care for women veterans and updating the GI Bill (official biography). Boozman previously founded a family eye care business in Northwest Arkansas and developed a low vision program at the Arkansas School for the Blind (official website).
