In another post on the same day, Boozman stated his support for a federal judicial nominee: “I’m pleased to support the nomination of John Shepherd, an active community member who is deeply committed to the rule of law, justice and public service, to the U.S. District Court. Boozman serves on several key Senate committees including Appropriations; Veterans’ Affairs; Environment and Public Works; and Rules and Administration. He has chaired the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry (official website). Before entering politics, he co-founded a family eye care business in Northwest Arkansas and developed a low vision program at the Arkansas School for the Blind (official website).
He has worked on initiatives such as expanding care for women veterans and modernizing the GI Bill (official website).
