Senator John Boozman, who represents Arkansas in the U.S. Senate, recently shared several messages on his social media account, touching on local pride, public health, and a national holiday.
On August 31, 2025, Boozman posted support for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks with the message: “Go Hogs #WOOPIGSOOIE”.
Later that day, he addressed substance misuse and community efforts in Arkansas by stating: “Natural State communities play a crucial role in combating drug misuse & addiction. On International Overdose Awareness Day, we’re reminded of the impact of supporting loved ones struggling and the progress already achieved to expand access to treatment and recovery initiatives.” This post coincided with International Overdose Awareness Day, an annual event held globally to raise awareness about overdose prevention and remember those lost to drug-related deaths.
On September 1, 2025, Boozman recognized Labor Day with a message for workers across the state and country: “This Labor Day, we honor the hardworking men and women who keep Arkansas and America moving forward with grit, determination and skill. Wishing you and your family a safe and restful day.” Labor Day is observed annually in the United States on the first Monday of September as a tribute to American workers’ contributions.
Senator Boozman has consistently highlighted issues such as substance abuse prevention in Arkansas. He has also been active in promoting community engagement around key public health challenges and honoring important national observances like Labor Day.
