The U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry has advanced the nominations of Michael Boren and Richard Fordyce for senior positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The committee is chaired by Senator John Boozman (R-AR).

Boren has been nominated for the role of Under Secretary of Agriculture for Natural Resources and Environment, while Fordyce is nominated for Under Secretary of Agriculture for Farm Production and Conservation.

“I’m proud to support the nominations of Michael Boren and Richard Fordyce to key leadership positions at USDA. Their guidance will be essential to advancing President Trump’s priorities and championing American agriculture. I look forward to confirming these nominees on the Senate floor,” Chairman Boozman said.

The next step is consideration by the full Senate.
