Under the leadership of Chairman John Boozman, the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry has moved forward with two nominees for positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The committee voted favorably to advance Mr. Dudley Hoskins from the District of Columbia for Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs. Additionally, Dr. Scott Hutchins from Indiana was nominated for Under Secretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics.

“The Senate has an important role in the confirmation process and advancing these nominees reflects our commitment to ensuring capable leadership in key positions at USDA. I’m proud to support these individuals and look forward to voting for their confirmation on the Senate floor,” Boozman said.
