French Hill, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 2nd district since 2015, recently posted several statements on his official social media account addressing international affairs and expressing condolences regarding personal losses within Congress.
On January 3, 2026, Hill publicly supported an action by the President concerning Venezuela. In his statement, he wrote, “I support President Trump’s decisive action to extract the indicted Nicolás Maduro. I stand with the Venezuelan people, who rejected Maduro at the ballot box. After years of exporting drugs, criminals, and instability throughout the Western Hemisphere while welcoming hostile” (posted January 3, 2026).
On January 6, 2026, Hill responded to news of a colleague’s passing. He posted: “Heartbreaking news. During my years in the House, Doug was a great friend. French Hill has represented Arkansas’s 2nd District since succeeding Tim Griffin in 2015. Born in Little Rock in 1956 and currently residing there at age 66, Hill is an alumnus of Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1975.
