French Hill, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 2nd district since 2015, recently used his social media platform to address legislative priorities and commemorate national observances.

On September 15, 2025, Hill advocated for congressional action on sanctions against Russia by posting: “Congress should act by immediately passing @ZachNunn’s bipartisan PEACE Act. This proposal would finally kneecap Russia’s energy revenues – which still total over $200 billion per year – by imposing secondary sanctions on the country, including for Gazprom and Rosneft The time https://t.co/7K44svoAYu https://t.co/8KNTL1b7Q4”.

Two days later, on September 17, Hill marked Constitution Day with a post reflecting on the enduring significance of the nation’s founding document: “For 238 years, the Constitution has been the bedrock that has guided America through challenge and change, reminding us that liberty is preserved by the rule of law, limited government, and the consent of the governed. Happy #ConstitutionDay. May we continue to honor this https://t.co/vPJnRlHmCm”.

That same day, he promoted participation in a technology initiative for students: “It’s National App Challenge Day! Applications for the Congressional App Challenge are open until October 30th. You can sign up here https://t.co/1V1jUFvvaX https://t.co/2LZmtooafw”.

Hill was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1956 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
