French Hill, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 2nd district since 2015, shared updates on his recent activities and discussions in a series of tweets between August 19 and August 22, 2025.

On August 19, Hill posted about his visit to Cleburne County, writing, “Had a great conversation with folks in Heber Springs during my recent visit to Cleburne County. We discussed the reconciliation package, the economy, and what’s ahead in Washington this fall. Special thanks to @heberchamber President and CEO Ginger Harper for coordinating the”.

The following day, he detailed his tour of a local manufacturing facility: “Had a wonderful tour of Mayville Engineering Co. facility while I was in Heber Springs! #MEC is the largest fabricator in the US and employs 180 skilled Arkansans who are helping drive our economy. We talked tariffs, workforce challenges, and how Washington can better support” (August 20).

In another tweet dated August 22, Hill recapped a radio appearance: “ICYMI: Had a great conversation with Dave Elswick on 101.1 FM The Answer yesterday! We discussed @POTUS’s efforts to end Russia’s war in Ukraine, what’s next for Israel in Gaza, and shared a laugh about how the media still doesn’t understand President Trump’s sense of humor.”

Hill’s posts reflect ongoing engagement with constituents and regional businesses as well as commentary on national foreign policy issues. Born in Little Rock in 1956 and an alumnus of Vanderbilt University (BS ’75), Hill has been active in Arkansas politics for over a decade after succeeding Tim Griffin in Congress.
