French Hill, a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 2nd district since 2015, recently used his social media platform to highlight military milestones and honor service members in a series of posts.
On September 18, 2025, Hill marked the anniversary of the United States Air Force by stating, “Happy 78th birthday to the @usairforce! Proud to represent the incredible service members at @LRAFB and grateful for all our brave men and women who guard our skies and keep our nation safe.”
The following day, on POW/MIA Recognition Day, Hill addressed the importance of remembering those who served but never returned home. He posted on September 19, “The POW/MIA flag outside my office is a daily reminder of the brave men and women who were prisoners of war or missing in action. Today, on POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor their sacrifice, support their families, and remember the nearly 82,000 Americans who never made it home.”
Later that same day, Hill congratulated Mike Waltz on his new diplomatic role: “Congratulations to my friend Mike Waltz on being confirmed as Ambassador to the United Nations. I know he’ll serve our country with the same dedication and integrity he always has.”
Hill was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1956 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Before his tenure began in Congress in 2015—succeeding Tim Griffin—he built ties within both business and government sectors.
Arkansas’s Little Rock Air Force Base (LRAFB), referenced by Hill in his post about the Air Force’s anniversary, is one of several military installations represented by him as part of Arkansas’s second congressional district.
