French Hill, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’s 2nd district since 2015, recently shared updates on his official Twitter account regarding significant events and legislative efforts.
On April 28, Hill reflected on a historic event in Congress, stating: “As the United States Congress welcomed His Majesty today, a rare moment in history was made. And what a privilege it was to see. Though America declared independence from the British Crown 250 years ago, King Charles III’s speech made clear that our mutual respect and shared”.
The following day, April 29, Hill highlighted local recovery initiatives in Arkansas: “The Wolfe Street Foundation is dedicated to recovery for Arkansans who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. They served 1800 individuals across 36 Arkansas counties last year. Martha and I were pleased to attend their recent annual dinner and had a nice visit with my”.
Later on April 29, Hill addressed ongoing concerns about drug abuse nationwide: “Illicit fentanyl is continuing to devastate communities across the country. My law, the Fentanyl Sanctions Act holds traffickers accountable by placing sanctions on them. My bipartisan law, the Preventing Overdoses Act 2.0, expands access to opioid overdose reversal drugs, like”.
Hill has represented Arkansas’s 2nd District since replacing Tim Griffin in 2015. Born in Little Rock in 1956 and currently residing there at age 66, he graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BS degree in 1975.
