French Hill, currently a U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 2nd district, took to social media to share recent updates on legislative achievements and national politics. Having replaced Tim Griffin in 2015, Hill has been actively involved in national legislation and state representation.
On April 29, 2025, Hill announced via Twitter that the House had passed the bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act. He described it as a measure “making it a federal crime to post real or fake explicit images or videos online without a person’s consent.” Hill emphasized that “this bill will protect all Americans, empower victims of abuse and exploitation, and is a critical step toward” greater online safety.
Later that day, Hill extended his congratulations to an Arkansas native, Warren Stephens, on his confirmation as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Hill expressed his confidence, stating, “Warren is a lifelong friend, a proud American, and someone with a deep passion for our shared history and transatlantic partnership.” Hill expressed faith in Stephens’ capability to serve effectively in his new role.
Also on April 29, Hill commented on the progress of President Trump’s administration, marking 100 days into the second term. He highlighted the administration’s pace, noting “President Trump continues to move with unprecedented speed to deliver on the promises made to the American people.” Hill remarked on the nation’s trajectory towards “restoring our strength, security, and prosperity” and showed enthusiasm for future developments.
French Hill, 66, originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, has been a significant political figure in the state since his graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1975.
