French Hill, U.S. Congressman representing Arkansas’ 2nd district since 2015, addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on October 3, 2025. The topics included a recent terrorist attack in Manchester, legislative priorities for Congress, and an economic investment announcement for Arkansas.
On October 3, Hill responded to reports of violence in the United Kingdom: “The heinous terrorist attack on a synagogue in Manchester during Yom Kippur is heartbreaking and infuriating. I am praying for the victims and their families. This horrific act is a cruel reminder that we have to confront the evil of antisemitism and religious hatred everywhere.”
Later that day, Hill commented on congressional negotiations regarding government funding: “We should be working to renew the flood insurance program, supporting our farmers, and bringing down costs for Americans. It’s time for #SenateDemocrats to reject Chuck Schumer’s shutdown, pass the clean CR, and get back to governing.” The post referenced ongoing debates about avoiding a federal government shutdown.
In another post from October 3, Hill highlighted new business developments in his home state: “More great news for Arkansas! A $4B investment from @Google in West Memphis will mean jobs, growth, and a stronger economy for all Arkansans. @SarahHuckabee’s leadership is delivering results.”
French Hill was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1956 and continues to reside there. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975.
