FOIA Request to University of Arkansas System eVersity regarding recent course syllabi on August 6, 2025.

The Pulaski Times has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the University of Arkansas System eVersity. The request seeks access to a complete list of course syllabi for all undergraduate and graduate courses offered during the Spring 2025 academic semester. This includes syllabi for courses conducted in-person, online, or in hybrid formats across all departments, schools, and colleges within the university.

In addition to the syllabi, the request asks for relevant metadata associated with each course. This includes details such as the course title and number, instructor name, department or academic unit, and the format in which the course is delivered (online/in-person/hybrid).

The request emphasizes that access to these public records is crucial for fulfilling journalistic duties, which include holding public institutions accountable and ensuring transparency. As a media professional involved in disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver based on our role.

Furthermore, it is noted that this request is supported by The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy.
