U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) has expressed approval of the U.S. Department of Education’s decision to release important education funding for Arkansas students. This decision follows a recent letter initiated by Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), which Boozman and eight other Senate Republicans signed, advocating for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers.
The letter addressed to Russell Vought, Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, called for the release of funds secured in the Fiscal Year 2025 Full-Year Continuing Resolution Act. President Trump signed this act into law earlier this year. The funding supports bipartisan initiatives such as after-school and summer programs in Arkansas and nationwide.
“Arkansas families, students and teachers benefit from programs that provide safe and enriching environments,” said Boozman. “I am pleased to continue working alongside my colleagues and the administration to champion access to the educational opportunities that can help Americans thrive.”
