U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) has acknowledged the contributions of students who completed internships in his Washington, D.C. and Arkansas offices during the second summer session.
“These bright and hardworking students have been a great help to the people of Arkansas through their work in my Capitol Hill and Natural State offices this summer. I am proud of their interest in public service and grateful for their contributions to addressing the needs of Arkansans and supporting our efforts in the Senate. I am confident this experience has strengthened their understanding of the legislative process and inspired them to continue serving their communities,” Boozman said.
Seven interns worked in Boozman’s Washington office over a five-week period, focusing on constituent relations as well as assisting with legislative and communications projects. Each intern also had the opportunity to shadow Senator Boozman for a day, providing direct insight into Senate operations.
In Arkansas, two interns served at Boozman’s Fort Smith and Lowell offices, where they supported constituent services and learned about casework involving federal agencies.
The Washington office interns included Vivian Bieter, Claire Bramlett, Taygan Brooks, Julianna Ferguson, Will Harbison, Jackson Johnston, and Olivia Roberts. Their backgrounds range from studies in Spanish, business, international studies, architecture, political science, history, psychology, to law aspirations. The state office interns were Anna Hale in Fort Smith and Sofia Westrom in Lowell; both are pursuing studies related to political science or criminology with intentions to attend law school after graduation.
Boozman’s office highlighted that these internship experiences offer students practical exposure to government work while supporting ongoing services for constituents across Arkansas.
