U.S. Senators John Boozman and Joni Ernst, along with 81 other colleagues, have declared this week as “National Small Business Week.” This initiative aims to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economy in Arkansas and across the nation.
“Small businesses power our economy and represent core American values like hard work, taking risks and the pursuit of success,” said Boozman. He expressed satisfaction in joining his colleagues to celebrate National Small Business Week, acknowledging their role in creating jobs and sustaining communities both locally and nationwide.
Ernst highlighted the resurgence of Main Street under pro-growth policies: “Main Street is roaring back under President Trump’s pro-growth policies that are ushering in a Golden Age,” she stated. Ernst emphasized the significance of small businesses beyond economic impact, noting their embodiment of American spirit and cultural influence across various communities. She affirmed her commitment to advocating for these entrepreneurs in Washington.
In the United States, there are over 34.7 million small businesses, making up more than 99.9 percent of all businesses and employing about 45.9 percent of American workers—approximately 59 million people.
